My Story
I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado. The son of a nurse and corrections officer, later turned nurse, my passion for helping others is deeply rooted. Growing up, I was very close with my family and community. Upon leaving for college, I knew medicine was my calling. For my pre-med degree, I studied biology at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I went on to study medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and culminated my training in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. I spent the next 7 years working as a hospitalist in the Denver-metro area, where I developed a profound understanding and respect for serious medical problems. Later, I transitioned to outpatient medicine where I became the primary care physician for many throughout the region. I have rounded out my training by becoming board certified in Obesity Medicine.

Over my time practicing in corporate medicine, I have sought ways to bring healthcare to my patients in a better way. While seeing how difficult it can be for patients to navigate large health systems, I stumbled across the direct primary care movement. With the help of many in the DPC community, I discovered how this model of care returns to what matters: the doctor-patient relationship.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Jordan, and together we have three beautiful girls. I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors. I am an avid Colorado sports fan and I love live music. When not practicing medicine, you can often find me rooting for the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, or Avs, camping with my family, or attending local concerts.
